Abrasive Technology currently has an opening for an energetic professional to join our Customer Service Team as an International Customer Service Associate. The individual will spend considerable time learning our business and becoming an expert on our products and their applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the position include:
Respond to, resolve, document and provide follow-up for the following tasks:
Customer Inquiries
Product Questions/Problems
Requests for Quotations
Customer Issues
Requests for Product Return
Requests for Expedites
Proofs of Delivery
Manage and/or be a team member of special projects including customer visits, trade shows, market research, inventory tracking and participation in the development of product brochures, catalogues and mailings
Work proactively with Import/Export associates to exchange customer information to meet Federal & International Regulations
Qualified candidates will possess the following experience:
Fluency in foreign languages is a plus
3 - 5 years previous experience in Customer Service is preferred
1 - 3 years previous experience in an industrial or tooling manufacturing environment is preferred
Technical knowledge of grinding technology a plus
Experience with Regulatory Compliance responsibilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must!
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
Excellent attention to detail
Strong computer skills including MS Office
Ability to take on and handle projects from inception to completion
Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
Associates Degree in Business Administration or similar is a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
