Dining Room Server

Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center located in Lewis Center, Ohio is searching for Dining Room Servers to join our team! Servers will serve guests in our Dining Room, and will also work in our busy Conference Center to stock and maintain break stations!Tucked in a 15-acre park-like setting just North of Columbus, Ohio, our property offers a complete collection of services and amenities for an all-inclusive experience.
Our hotel has 193 stylishly appointed guest rooms and suites delight leisure travelers, while our 45,000 square feet of customizable meeting spaces are sophisticated yet comfortable and offer state-of-the-art technology to create a dynamic setting for meetings and special events.
Our attractive compensation package includes a $15 hourly wage, and full-time associates have access to medical, dental, vision, company paid life, 401k with match, STD/LTD, etc.

Primary
Responsibilities:
Possess a positive and professional appearance and attitude toward guests and fellow employees.
Set dining room tables, drink and buffet stations for meal periods.
Take drink orders and clearing plates during meal periods.
Willing to learn limited functions of:
POS (point-of-sale) registers, Room Service, and A la Carte dining Follow the daily assigned menu to prepare, set up, stock, take down, clean and provide quality beverages and food products consistently for all guests by adhering to all BEO and presentation standards.
Monitor the freshness of food items and remove any food approaching the temperature danger zone.
Stock and maintain the use of paper products, silverware and condiments to meet the demands of the guests.
Brew and maintain coffee levels and coffee freshness at all break stations.
Refresh rooms during specified break times, lunch and regularly throughout the business day.
This includes replenishing candy, water, pads and pens, emptying the trash, removing dirty dishes, vacuuming the floor, straightening chairs and tables.
Maintain cleanliness standards to uphold company and health code standards.
This includes break stations and the break kitchen.
Uphold the high standards of guest service by proactively assisting guests when needed, greet guests as they approach using the 10-5 rule.
Explain menu items to assist guest with any other needs in a friendly, professional and timely manner.
